Presenting: NBME/Pivio Update
Description: The NBME will provide updates on USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK and CS. The AAMC will provide an update and demo of the Pivio platform, a new lifelong learning and career planning tool being developed by AAMC and NBME that will store and transfer data necessary for medical students, residents, and physicians across their medical careers.

Presenting: Records and Career Management for Residents Using Pivio – A New Service from AAMC and NBME
Description: An update and demonstration of the new lifelong learning and career planning tool by AAMC and NBME called Pivio. The Pivio system will store and transfer data necessary for medical students, residents, and physicians across their careers. The tool will be a secure “lock box” that will enable users to share data with CVOs and others at the individual’s control. The session will focus on the intended purpose of the Pivio system specific to residents, provide a demonstration of the system, and obtain attendee feedback on features and future system considerations of this new and innovative tool.

Presenting: Pivio and Data Commons – Desired Features and Data Connections
Description: How can the Pivio system make lives easier and enhance learning? The Pivio team will lead an interactive brainstorming session. After a brief update about Pivio and the Data Commons, LLC, participants will discuss features, data connections, and functionality that will increase the usefulness and value of Pivio. Data Commons is especially important when talking about source verified data.

Presenting: A New Records Management and Life-Long Learning Tool
Description: An overview of AAMC and NBME’s efforts to create a lifelong learning platform that stores and transfers data necessary for medical students, residents and physicians across their careers called Pivio (formerly eFolio Connector). The project currently contains a platform for users to share and store data at an individual’s control (CV/resumes, exam applications and results, biographical information, etc.). The session will include a demonstration of current features, overview of results to date from the pilot users, and open feedback on future program considerations to meet the needs of medical education.
