Title: Test Development Associate I
Unit:  Professional Services - Technology Training & Support

 

Primary Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Develops, revises, and/or implements analysis procedures and processing routines to optimize operational test development activities, provide quality assurance, and/or facilitate decision-making.
  • Creates, updates, and/or disseminates documentation for new and existing technological procedures and routines; includes direct user support and training.
  • Initiates and maintains communication with Test Development and external unit staff to identify and resolve technology-related issues.
  • Collaborates with other units in the research, design and/or testing of new technology and software; serves as Test Development advocate.
  • Manages and/or monitors implementation of new technology, systems, and software within Test Development to ensure successful transition and continued utilization.
  • Designs, initiates, and/or supports independent and collaborative research consistent with organizational mission and goals.
Key Deliverables include, but not limited to:
  • Accurate analysis procedures and processing routines are developed or implemented to meet user specifications and timelines.
  • Documentation is current and available for dissemination via appropriate media.
  • User needs are adequately identified and targeted action plans are defined or implemented with input from appropriate staff.
  • Test Development perspectives and needs are represented effectively in the development of new technologies.
  • Effective project plans are developed and implemented to optimize resource allocation and utilization.
  • Operational or scholarly research articles and materials are produced for designated audiences.

Requirements include, but not limited to:

  • Master's degree.
  • More than 1 and up to 3 years experience.
  • Must have knowledge of software applications supporting at least one of the following areas: text processing (eg, Word, EPIC, XMLSPY), multi-media development, manipulation, and presentation (eg, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash), data analysis/warehousing (eg, SPSS, SAS, HLM, Excel, Oracle Discoverer, SQL).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to “translate” technical information.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technology quickly.
  • Ability to set priorities consistent with unit goals.
  • Some knowledge of and experience with scholarly research process.
