Can I review my self-assessment after I have completed it?

Once you have completed the entire self-assessment, you CANNOT go back and review the total assessment. However, while you are working within each section and before you lock it, you can change answers, mark them for review, or leave them blank. When you exit each section by clicking “End” then "OK", you lock that section and your answers become final. You will not be able to review items or your responses to them after you exit the section.

You can review and print your performance profile for at least 12 months after completing the self-assessment.

Are answers and/or explanations to the self-assessments items available?

What kind of performance feedback will I receive?

Will my performance profile be released to anyone else?

If you purchased your assessment with a voucher, NBME may release your performance profile to a representative of the institution that paid for the voucher.

If you purchased the assessment yourself via credit card, check, or money order, NBME will only release your performance profile to you unless you request that NBME release it to another party.

Can I view a sample performance profile?

You can preview sample performance feedback on the NBME Self-Assessment Services page. The sample does NOT reflect performance on the sample assessment; it is a fixed profile designed by the NBME to show you the type of information you will receive about your performance.

How do I interpret my performance profile?

Although this video was developed to facilitate USMLE score interpretation, the instructions for interpreting the graphical performance profiles are also applicable for interpreting the NSAS performance profiles. http://www.usmle.org/transcripts/
