Amanda Clauser, EdD
Vice President, Psychometrics and Data Analysis
Amanda Clauser, EdD is the Vice President of Psychometrics and Data Analysis at NBME. In this role, Amanda leads the teams responsible for the psychometrics, applied measurement, test design, survey, standard-setting and score-reporting functions for NBME programs and clients. A psychometrician by training, Amanda is dedicated to advancing research that supports fairness and equity in test score use, designing meaningful assessments of skills and behaviors, and providing actionable feedback to score users.
She is a contributor to the most recent edition of “Educational Measurement,” a book summarizing cutting-edge research and guidance on major topics in the field of measurement science, produced by the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME). She also leads NCME's Certification & Licensure special interest group.
Amanda completed her doctoral work in psychometrics at the University of Massachusetts. She is recognized for her ability to foster collaboration and lead research, operational and development activities that advance NBME’s mission to improve health care through assessment.
