The NICE helps foster assessment skills and provides a networking venue for the faculty attendees.
The NICE is designed to foster assessment skills and provides a networking venue for early career faculty within academic medicine. The conference is targeted for those new to medical education assessment and features a range of sessions, including the NBME Item Writing Workshop sequence.
During the 2024 NICE, NBME psychometricians and measurement scientists provided a range of hands-on workshops, such as Introduction to Measurement Science and A Primer for Using ChatGPT in Medical Education. The NICE not only provides the opportunity for NBME to meaningfully give back to the medical education community, but also provides an opportunity for us to listen to and learn from faculty from the medicals schools we serve.
