You are requesting access to the NBME® BEA 2024 Shared Task on Automated Prediction of Item Difficulty and Item Response Time dataset, owned by the National Board of Medical Examiners (“NBME”).
By checking the box below, you agree to the following terms and condition:
- You will not use or reference the BEA Shared Task data for any commercial purpose.
- NBME may elect to review the submission and suggest revisions. In the event that NBME objects to any portion of the draft(s) on the basis, in NBME’s sole discretion, that it may compromise the privacy of an individual or institution, discloses NBME confidential information, or could adversely affect NBME’s intellectual property rights or other interests, you will remove the objectionable language from the draft(s) and provide NBME with a copy of the revised document for follow-up review by NBME prior to presenting or submitting such revised draft(s) for publication/presentation.
- Where possible, you will make any and all outcomes of your research using the BEA Shared Task dataset available to the public.
- You will not redistribute the BEA Shared Task data. You may distribute code that processes or manipulates the data, but you may not redistribute the data itself. If working with collaborators, the primary researcher must access the data from its original source. All collaborators must abide by the terms and conditions specified in this agreement.
- In using this dataset, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless NBME and the USMLE Program of and from any and all claims, demands, losses, causes of action, damage, lawsuits, judgments, including attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or relating to your use and analysis of the BEA Shared Task data.
- You agree that you will not use the name, description, logo, trademarks, or other intellectual property of the NBME for any purpose, including but not limited to, commercial exploitation, publicity (including press releases), or advertisement purposes without the NBME’s prior written consent, which may be withheld in NBME’s sole discretion.
