Associate Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology

Said S. Saab, MD, MPhil, MEd, is an associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1998. After earning his undergraduate degree at Emory University, he attended the New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Saab earned a Master of Philosophy from Trinity College, University of Cambridge, and a Master of Education in the Health Professions from the Johns Hopkins School of Education, where he serves as an adjunct faculty member in health professions education. His research focuses on medical student and resident education, with particular interests in assessment, evaluation and educational scholarship.
